A Era Das Revoluções 1769 -1748

HOBSBAWN, Eric J

During the decade of 1780 the productive power of the humanity if expanded of form never before seen in its history. It had a comparable revolution to the invention of agriculture and the cities, the "departure for the sustainable auto growth" (as it is called by current economists) that it finished for making possible the Industrial Revolution. The British had been the pioneers of this revolution, and this not if had to perhaps; its social structure daily pay-industrial served of base for the "departure". The economic development of Great-Britain was the goal most important of its governmental politics and its agriculture already was turned toward the market (what it would make possible the "sustenance" of an urban and industrial society). The technology cannot be seen as a preponderant factor to understand the British pioneirismo, therefore the machines and even though the industries already were a reality, but its production served to saciar the internal demand, the existing market already. When the entrepreneurs had only perceived the possibility of a profit in the plants comparable to the previous one (mere commercial), he can be thought about an industrial revolution. The industries of products of mass consumption (as the têxteis) already had a vast market and offered a certain profit fast e; moreover, its technology was relatively simple and cheap. Therefore, they had been the first ones to call the attention the British entrepreneurs. Proportionally to the search for the profit, it was born the necessity of if still more expanding the market, and the organization of the countries of the world if it showed sufficiently favorable to this expansion. The countries poor would be an excellent market to enrich the producer nations, that "had copied" the successful English model and had helped to implant the capital for the world.
